Corporate entrepreneurship in Croatia

Corporate entrepreneurship as entrepreneurial activities in an established organization is one important aspect of organizational and economic development and wealth creation. Therefore the aim of this paper to define corporate entrepreneurship, explore its characteristics and in what surroundings corporative entrepreneurs work. This field is relatively new. Corporative entrepreneurship has appeared about 20 years ago and is still a new and unexplored area in the world and also in Croatia. Croatian enterprises, in their process of transformation to the market economy, are accepting new business approaches and models. One of them is corporative entrepreneurship. The process of its acceptance goes slowly and is followed by different problems. From theoretical point of view, in Croatia, the research in this field is still in its infancy. The aim of this study is to contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship and wealth creation by developing and cultivating corporate entrepreneurship. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to serve as a sort of guideline for future faster implementation of corporative entrepreneurship. The implementation of corporate entrepreneurship is important not only for large Croatian companies but also for Croatian economy at all.
