Linear buckling analysis of laminated composite thin-walled beams
This paper presents finite element based stability analysis of thin-walled beams with laminated composite cross section. Analysis is performed in an eigenvalue manner and it attempts to determine the critical loads as well as corresponding buckling modes in a direct manner without calculating the deformations. For validation purposes, the results are compared with values yielded by shell finite element analyses.
