Surface irregularities study in initial zone created by abrasive waterjet
The work is focused on the detailed evaluation of the surface topography of aluminium in initial zone created by abrasive waterjet (AWJ). Information about the surface topography in the initiation zone produced experimental samples were obtained 3D optical measurement surface. Surface roughness was quantified using the profile parameters Ra, Rq and Rz, which were detected in 27 depth traces. The results were analyzed by factor analysis in order to provide a detailed characterisation of the initiation zone.
