The Comeback of Political Drama in Croatia: Or How to Kill a President by Miro Gavran
This article traces the political drama in Croatia from its flourishing period during the communist system (especially in the 1970's), as well as throughout its disappearance in the post communistic era (nineties) during which there were various attempts to fill the gap with war plays or plays giving a pessimistic picture of dysfunctional families (so called new European drama). The article’ s stand is that the real reappearance of political drama in post communistic Croatia occurred with the play How to kill a President (2003) by Miro Gavran.
