Barley malt prouts as a source of 5'- phosphodiesterase activity
Barley (Hordeum vulgare) malt sprouts as a brewing by-products were used as a source of 5'- phosphodiesterase (5' - PDase, EC-3.1.4.1.) activity. After overnight extraction in different solutions and temperatures, aqueous solutions containing the 5'-phosphodiesterase activity were purified by precooled acetone precipitations (60 - 100 percent ) . Final results obtained are a degree of purification of about 85 and a 5' - phosphodiesterase activity solution with 69 UA / mg protein.
