Uniaxial tests of 50CrMo4 steel at lowered and elevated temperatures and impact notch energy determination
Several uniaxial tests of 50CrMo4 steel were curried out. Some of these tests are related to the mechanical material properties determination at lowered and elevated temperatures while some of them belong to the creep behavior investigation. By uniaxial tests at lowered and elevated temperatures engineering stress-strain diagrams were obtained and an effect of the mentioned temperatures on main mechanical properties was presented. Also, curve representing specimen elongations at elevated temperatures is shown. Creep curves define the response of the considered material to high temperature exposure. Notch impact energy test was also curried out using Charpy impact machine. The experimentally obtained data may be of significant interest in structure design procedure.
