New materials in wood finishing
Ever stricter ecological regulations, coupled with increasingly higher quality requirements are forcing the manufacturers of coating to constantly develop new products. Environmental regulations and the emission limits stipulated by European directives can be met exclusively by water-borne, High Solid and UV materials so these have seen an evident strong development of late. Powder coating is seen as the material of the future for panel furniture. New binders, produced from renewable sources, are also being widely researched. The development of new additives enables the replacement of the materials wich have been prohibited by law for health or safety reasons while newly developed nano-additives may serve to improve the product or give it completely new properties. The development of nanotechnology provides an entirely new range of possibilities in the development of new materials for wood finishing.
