First record of Pomatoschistus marmoratus (Gobiidae) on the Tunisian coasts

Eleven specimens of the marbled goby Pomatoschistus marmoratus (Risso, 1810), were collected in the Tunisian coasts. The present finding is the first record for the Tunisian coasts and a proof of a continuous distribution of this species in the southern side of the Mediterranean Sea. This finding allows also to us to bring new data on the morphology and the ecology of this fish.
