Međunarodna komunikacija i suradnja putem vizualne umjetnosti
This paper consider the difference between visual culture and visual art. It argues that artistic values are not defined by visual culture and that it is therefore wrong to draw conclusions from such a statement. On the contrary, visual communication that boils down to communication for communication's sake cannot grasp and express (1) the meaning of life and (2) feelings of other people. Unlike visual communication, visual art employs a symbolic language that transcends the reality and reveals that which is common to all. The universal language of art possesses both the aesthetic and ethical dimension. It stimulates the intellect. It improves social interaction and cooperation. Finally, it indiscriminately stimulates feelings and fosters emotional and spiritual fulfillment. Consequently, this paper deals with visual art phenomena in international communication.
