Josip Florschütz’s Song Recorded in the Phonogrammarchiv, 1912
Josip Florschütz (Osijek 1864. – Zagreb 1916.), Croatian philologist and composer, performs the song “Gdje si dušo”. As for the song lyrics, there is no doubt that it is actually the song “Ukor” (“Reprimand”), written in 1850 by Serbian poet Branko Radičević. However, as for its tune, it is impossible to determine the degree of Florschütz’s authorship. The version by Serbian- Slovenian composer Davorin Jenko, which is widely known until today, differs considerably from Florschütz’s version.
