Internet usage in collecting information on tourism destinations – the case of Istria County

The main purpose of this paper is to present segment of tourists using Internet in the process of data collection on tourism destination and to determine the relationship between tourists’ Internet usage in collecting information and their social-demographic characteristic. The data on Internet usage in gathering information about tourism destination were collected as a part of a Research on tourists’ interests for consumption of organic food, which was conducted during August and September 2008. Data was processed using statistical methods i.e. univariate (frequencies, percentage) and bivariate statistics (
2 test).
