Measurement of Head Rotation Using Triangular Face Model
Measurement of head rotation from 2D image requires finding correspondences between features of a model and an image. In this paper, we show that under weak- perspective assumption, given three facial points in image, such as eyes and mouth, rotation of corresponding points in space can be estimated with the addition of fourth point in space. Our approach to estimate rotation of head uses combination of Adaboost detector to localize head, weak perspective projection model of camera and three-point face model based on anthropometric measures to recover the head rotation. Experimental results on monocular images are presented.
