During last four years in small and big store houses and silos, in mercantile and seed wheat, maize, barley and oat, the most common and dominant were primary pests (44%) than secondary pests (35%) and mycophagous insects (15%). Insects of order Lepidoptera were represented by a small number (1%), whereas mites are presented by 5%. The most common pest in silos was Sitophilus oryzae. All pests are controlled by preventive and curative mesaures. From the synthetic insecticides phosphine preparatus was the most applied. In terms of resistance of stored products insects to synthetic insecticide, laboratory experiments with plant origin preparatus were carried out. From the plant origin preparathus (powder and oil extract) of Rosmnarinus officinalis, Laurus nobilis, ThYmus vulgaris, Lavandula officinalis and Oryganum vulgare, the oil extract of L. officinalis was the most effective by the control of Acanthoscelides obtectus. On the other hand, the powder of L. officinalis and the oil extract of L. nobilis are the most effective when it comes to Sitophilus granarius in the mercantile and seed wheat of the "Žitarka" variety. All the investigated plant origin preparatus did not have any negative influence on the wheat seed germination.
