Bogballe spreader testing using Croatia produced fertilizers

The paper presents results of the investigated quality work of the Bogballe firm spreader of the designate type "L"(L2+). The investigation was conducted with vessels for determination of the surface fertilizer distribution. Vessels were made of galvanized sheet metal of 0.6 mm thick on the model of the Rauch firm box from the testing set Delta-Praxis. It is common for such a type of investigation. The testing vessel is characterized by the work area of 0.25 m2. In the course of the trial the measuring was conducted with 38 boxes placed diagonally to the spreader work direction. Other part of the tasks was carried out with the common standard methods applied for such type of investigation. The spreader setting for testing was done by the service workers of the “Findri” firm being a spreader sale agent of the Bogballe firm for Croatia. The investigations were conducted in the field working conditions characterized by all required weather conditions in terms of the temperature >18o C and relative air humidity <60%. While investigating, two fertilizers of Petrokemija Fertilizer Factory Kutina (NPK 7:20:30 and CAN 27% N), was used per 25 kg sacked and delivered directly prior the beginning of the research. By the granular composition, both fertilizers had increased portion of granules 2.1 – 5 mm in diameter. Thus, NPK fertilizer had 87.42% whereas CAN 83.67% of the aforementioned diameter granules. The researches were carried out at 8km/h and spreading of 400 kg/ha of 7:20:30 formulated NPK, i.e. 190 kg/ha KAN fertilizer. After the granules have been weighed by the gathered boxes, weight surface distribution coefficient of 9.60% was obtained with NPK fertilizer by 7:20:30 formulation and 8.21% with KAN fertilizer. Based upon the accomplished results, the Bogballe firm spreader of the “L” designation can be included into the category of top quality spreaders recommended.
