Teachers’ and Students’ ICT Competences in the Context of the Bologna Process
ICT stimulates the innovations of teaching and learning process, contributing to the improvement of interaction, communication and social relations. Development of personalized learning environments is currently a hot topic in the e-learning domain. The paper emphasizes that realisation of modern curricula is not possible without the implementation of modern teaching technology in the teacher’s education. We claim that every approach to e-learning implementation must be based on the specific pedagogical background. Teacher should acquire competences to use ICT effectively, both to teach their subject and to support their wider, professional role. Teachers are expected to recognize the importance of ICT in planning, classroom management and assessment. Therefore, the paper includes the research of students’ opinions about teachers’ and students’ ICT skills and competences.
