Electro-thermal Measurements and Characterization of High Voltage / High Temperature Drivers
The concept of coupling the electro-thermal analysis tool and the parasitic resistance extraction tool in order to model the power devices electro-thermally is presented. The automated creation of power devices is achieved by creating a library of unique layout cells. Combining the electro-thermal modeling concept and the automated creation of power devices a fully consistent and automated electrothermal simulator is achieved. From the electro-thermal measurements and simulations the basic guidelines for the design of the power devices are deduced.
