Managing and Changing Corporate Culture : Empirical Evidence from Croatia
This paper explores in theoretical and practical terms the issue of managing and changing corporate culture. It is generally agreed that it is extremely difficult to change corporate culture but also a necessity in certain cases. Available theoretical findings in the field of managing and changing corporate culture are presented in the paper. The empirical part of the paper presents the results of a research conducted in Croatia in 2008 which describes the context for corporate culture changes among Croatian firms. The survey shows a lack of willingness to perform organizational changes in general, but favorable conditions for managing and changing corporate culture. The findings of the paper are applicable to firms that need to change its corporate culture due to recent financial and economic crises.
