Two main vectors for dengue viruses are mosquitoes: Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. Dengue has become one of the most important emerging disease problems among international travelers. In the recent years, Croatia appeared as the famous and prestigious tourist destination with more and more tourists each year, especially during the summer. Croatia is not endemic for dengue viruses.
