Orofacial pain – diagnostics and treatment of temporomandibular disorder
This study presents the outcome of treatment in patients with temporomandibular joint disorder with interdisciplinary work of dentists and outpatient rheumatology-physiatry service. Patients were treated with physical methods that included a specific Schulte kinesio-therapeutic treatment. It has shown that statistically significant difference in the treatment of temporomandibular pain after physical treatment. The median pain during mandible movements was 6.25 before and 2.01 after physiotherapy measured by visual analog scale from 0 to 10(Wilcoxon pairs test p<0.001).
