Business Process Change and IT implementation in the Public Sector: Croatian Case Studies
The goal of this paper is to summarise theoretical propositions and conduct empirical research to identify and analyse factors influencing the success or failure of business process change projects in the public sector. Case studies describing business process transformation and IT implementation projects in two Croatian government institutions are analyzed and compared using the fivestage project perspective. Since the results supported the theoretical background, these findings can be used as a framework to present and stress the most important opportunities, risks and obstacles of the projects, while also providing highlights for successful implementation.
