Technical and technological development is one of the most important external strategy factors of a retail company. It has been realized that information technology is a critical factor of success. However, this is an area that undergoes rapid changes. The creation of large business systems has only been made possible thanks to new technologies. In that sense one must also observe the efficient connecting of retailers with other participants in the supply chain.
