Effect of mineral fertilization and soil amendments on heavy metals and metalloid content in drained Stagnosols
Research was conducted on experimental field in mid continental Croatia with 10 different fertilization treatments in four replications. Treatments selected for this study are: NPK ; NPK+phosphogypsum ; NPK+zeolite+CaCO3. One of the aims was to evaluate heavy metals (Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mo, Ni, Pb, Zn) and metalloid (As) accumulation in drained Stagnosols after 11 years of intensive crop production. According to results, all soil samples from arable layer contained much lower heavy metals and metalloid concentrations, compared with threshold values for agricultural soil (Croatian legislative-NN 15/92). Mineral fertilization and applied soil amendments did not change values of studied elements in arable layer of drained Stagnosols.
