Creativity Effects On Entrepreneurial Intentions
A person’s intention to become an entrepreneur constitutes the principal predictor that person will set up a business in the future. This paper analyses the effect of creativity on entrepreneurial intentions. The analysis of a sample of 694 student from University of Zagreb, Croatia, empirically confirms that individuals who are creative, that is who possess the know-how and the creative thinking to address new situations and problems and who have a strong drive, are likely to display more entrepreneurial intentions. This finding has important implications for governments concerned with fostering entrepreneurial behaviour as a way to achieve growth and economic development. Policies and schemes to encourage4 the development of creativity in individuals should be implemented.
