Simulation of AC-DC switch mode converters by means of personal computer
The article describes one of the methods of learning the main operation principles of AC/DC converter by means of personal computer, which is practiced at the Maritime Faculty in Split. The simulation of three phase, full controlled AC/DC converter is performed on PC Pentium 166 MHz, 32 Mb RAM, by use of Electronics Workbench 5.0 c software, which incorporates SPICE models for linear and non-linear electronics components. The simulated AC/DC converter enables us to see the output current and voltage waveforms for various delay angles and types of converter load. It is possible to see how the parameter change of the different components of the converter affects the current and voltage waveforms. Listing of the input circuit file to PSPICE has been attached.
