Laser scanning of archaeological artifacts
After several years of archaeological research in Crikvenica, there is a need for presentation and publication of the results. When we talk about the results of archaeological research that is of course about archaeological artifacts found at the site. The data describing the archaeological artifacts are mostly in written or visual form. The development of laser scanning technology has opened a new chapter in the methods of collecting 3D data and enables a whole new way of presentation of data. Since you know that the picture says more than a 1000 words that is analogous to say that a 3D model says more than a 1000 pictures. Certainly, it should be noted that 3D models created by laser scanning are fully measurable, written in the scale of 1:1, and high accuracy. Thus, shorten the work of describing and drawing of archaeological artifacts.
