Isoenzymes related to cell differentiation in plant tissue culture.
In vitro culture of cells and tissues has a great value in providing ways to study developmental processes in plants. Biochemical markers, like peroxidase, acid phosphatase and other enzymes, may be useful in predicting developmental events caused by modifications of gene expression patterns. Estarases a group of enzymes that hydrolyse ester bonds are present in many isoforms in plant, as well as in animal cells. They have been studied as biochemical markers of embryogenic potenital and as markers for seed discrimination. In present work a polymorphisma of esterase has been studied in in vitro tissue culture with the aim to establish a correlation between developmental processes and electrophoretic protein patterns. ........
