A Tutorial on Adaptive Control: The Self-tuning Approach
The Tutorial handouts (53 pages) covers adaptive control, specifically the self-tuning approach. Least squares parameter identification and design of adaptive controller by use of pole/zero placement technique, minimum variance and LQG design is described. This one day tutorial on adaptive and robust control was attended by 25 participants on April 6th, 2000. The morning session covered adaptive control (presented by Prof. Z. Vukić) and the afternoon session covered robust control (presented by Prof. Guy O. Beale).
