Optimization of biocatalyst production in bakers yeast cultivation
The optimal conditions of bakers yeast growth for the production of ADH enzyme were studied in this work. Bakers yeast was cultivated in a batch bioreactor at different initial concentration of glucose and ethanol (1. cEO = 7.7 g dm-3; 2. cEO = 7.7 g dm-3, cGO = 1.0 g dm -3; 3. cGO = 1.0 g dm-3). A temperature of 30 C and dissolved oxygen concentration of 5 - 10 % wrer chosen. The changes occurring with time in the concentration of biomass, glucose and ethanol have been monitored, as well as ADH volume and specific activities. The highest activity of ADH enzyme has been determined with high ethanol concentration in reaction media.
