Possibility of Carbon-Free electricity Production by Convective Vortices utilization
This paper deals with the possibility of the electricity production using the convective vortices. Namely available heat input can be transformed into the useful mechanical (shaft) work using the convective vortices, which can then be used for the turbine drive, i.e. electricity production. Energy transformation in the case of convective vortices has similarities with the classic oil heat engine concept. Heat input in the oil heat engine is ensured with the combustion of the fossil fuel, and in the case of convective vortices concept, heat input is ensured by solar energy or industrial waste heat. In both cases, output is in the form of the useful mechanical work, and electricity production is ensured without the harmful emissions of carbon dioxide in the case of convective vortices concept. Research details, related to the previously elaborated topic will be discussed in this paper.
