Development of Formal Teacher Training in Croatia Through Implementation of Bologna Declaration
To be able to provide and maintain professional level and quality of rehabilitation and teaching of persons with visual impairment it is important to develop adequate teacher training program. There were significant changes in the teacher training program in Croatia within the activities of the Bologna process. Bologna Declaration and the documents related to the Bologna process are aiming to achieve common goals in higher education in the EU. The Republic of Croatia was signed in 2001. in Prague. The aim of this paper is to share some information about importance of the development of formal teacher training in Croatia and its part of the preparation of Croatia for EU membership. The following presentation shows the concept (curriculum) of undergraduate and graduate study (Module: Rehabilitation of persons with visual impairment) at the Faculty of education and rehabilitation sciences, University of Zagreb, Croatia.
