New trends of event management and leisure time in tourism

Society is constantly changing. Trends, economic, social or lifestyle have direct impact on tourism, which is one of the integral parts of our society. Under general conditions of life and work general conditions and trends in the development of new forms of tourism demand appear. Since these trends are the basis for determining the amount of time and money needed to adequately accommodate all the changes, it will be more and more difficult to maintain competitiveness. It is necessary to adequately adapt existing management activities to new conditions, different from the way it was in the past. The paper approaches the analysis and assessment of trends in the direction of future development with special emphasis on their role in the management of events and leisure time and their implementation on the Croatian model.
