Security in the Information Age
The traditional view of democracy reflects the structural separation of powers among legislative, executive and judicial branches. This structure alone is not sufficient to ensure that a system of governance is truly effective. The problems that modern governments face are very complex and require very complex solutions and comprehensive policy analysis and explanation. Therefore democratic management in the Informational edge requires: competent national decision making structures, state of the art analytical methods, techniques, tools and concept in resolving strategic national issues. The source of this knowledge is related to the Think Tanks as the most important and crucial segment of prosperous modern democratic societies. Free movement of innovative ideas by new information technologies and by free and competent media are therefore critically important.
