Analysis of weld properties at flux-cored arc welding
Like in MAG welding process with solid wire, in flux-cored arc welding process results depend of number of different influencing factors. The selection of filler metal type influences on metallurgical, mechanical and geometrical properties of weld joint. In this paper, the weld bead geometry changes (weld join reinforcement area and penetration area) at FCAW process with regard to heat input (depending of weld current, voltage and weld speed) and the type and shielding gas flow are analyzed. So, the macrosections of the weld joints are prepared and weld joint reinforcement and penetration area were measured and analysed.
