THE ROLE OF INTERACTIVE MEDIA IN DEVELOPMENT OF CONTEMPORARY TOURIST COMMUNICATION AND IN REDEFINITION OF TOURIST IDENTITY
Continuous evolution of internet, its wide distribution and availability have a crucial role in raising the importance of tourist´s opinion, as well as in transition, from one-sided communication (from top to bottom) to contemporary, democratic on-line communication (from bottom to top). The replacement of roles or, in other words, the exchange of tourist information "among equals" is crucial. By popularization of tourist on-line communication, especially of electronic diary notes (travel blogs), personal tourist experience is becoming bilateral, and presents a substantial part of post-modern living. A contemporary interactive dimension of tourism also underlines tourist industry.
