Analysis of structural components within the hospitality industry
The focus of this analysis is on the industry as a whole, to find how different strategies can influence the position of a company in its placement on the markets. Structural analysis must be focused on the strengths and weaknesses of a company in order to identify the profit potential in general. The dimmension of a company ´s strategic direction or rather strategic grouping can differ in many ways. Ways which can improve or dissolve the company´s profit expectations. The main step in a structural analysis within an industry is to define the strategies of all competitors within the particular parametres of examination. An analysis of entry barriers that will determine a company´s success for future business dealings will be characterized. With the use of inductive and deductive analysis we can find out the causes of certain structural changes within the industry. Strategic variables will show us that the analytical tools used can be used to compare and improve other industry variants if need be.
