Analytic solution for unsteady cooling of an infinite cylinder

Temperature field in an infinite cylinder due to unsteady cooling in the medium with constant temperature has been estimated by an analytic method. The solution is shown in the form of infinite series of Bessel functions and diagrams for nondimensional variables suitable for practical application. Results of modelling have been compared with the measured values and the validity of the model has also been discussed.
