Lysosome alternations influenced by copper intoxication
Carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) were treated with constant concentrations of 0,1 mg/L of copper during ţhe period of 49 days, and the tissue samples were taken in the intervals of seven days. By the means of AAS analysis, the results have shown that the concentrations of copper in the liver were increasing during the treatment, from the 3,38 mg/g in the beginning up to the 18,2 mg/g after the six weeks. In the 6th week of contamination, by the sulphide-silver method, the Cu can be located in the isolated perinucleary located granules. By the histochemical methods for establishing the activity of acid phosphatase, it was shown that the density of lysosomes during the treatment increased, and some lysosomes have increased in volume. The results are in accordance with the image-analyser measurements, which have shown that the number of lysosomes, as well as the area they covered, during the treatment is increased.
