The differences between anthropometry and flexibility of kinesiology and teacher education college students
The aim of this study is to determine the differences in anthropometric characteristics and general flexibility on the beginning and the end of academic years 2009./2010. The research was conducted on sample of 50 female students of Kinesiology and 42 female students of Faculty of Teacher Education at the age 20 to 23. The students were measured in 7 anthropometric variables and 4 tests for the evaluation flexibility of different parts of the body. The multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was used to determine the differences between groups. The obtained results showed that there is a statistical significant difference between groups in all variables except body weight, upper arm skin fold and test MFLPLK. The students of Kinesiology are higher, have more muscle dominant and better general flexibility than Students of Teacher Education. Those marks are related with all life habits and choice of their future profession.
