Chemometric Survey of the Bottled Waters from Serbia and Croatia
Twenty-seven bottled waters fromdifferent regions of Serbia and Croatia were characterized by 23 chemical and physiko-chemical composition parameters within the framework of the Pan-European project about the geochemistry of bottled water in Europe launched in 2007 by the European Geological Surveys Geochemistry Expert Group. The reported analytical resiluts were used for chemometric charcterisation by means of univariable and multivariable tools (i.e. principal component alalysis). Results showed a wide avriation in the chemical composition of bottled waters, within the differences in chemical composition observed in the region due to the geological and environmental factors. genrally, there are moderate to high correlation amng the large number of analyzed parameters. As shown by multivariable analysis a lack of clear separation of the Serbian and Croatian bottled waters indicates their high degree of similraties in the terms of nalyzed chemical composition and physico-chemical parameters.
