Surface of finished wood floorings - characteristics and testing

Testing methods that simulate the traffic loads of lacquered surfaces in use are standardized, but not all of them define minimal requirements or reference values of particular properties in use. This creates problems for technologists and end consumers in meeting and understanding the quality criteria for particular products. The paper presents the survey of the characteristic test methods and respective testing results for most important properties of the lacquered wood flooring element according to new Croatian standards. The presentation should aim at better understanding of results and contribute to the formulation of the classification tables for relevant properties of wood flooring elements.
