Photorealistic 3D model of the Roman ceramic kiln
Today, new methods of measurement and processing of spatial data based on photogrammetry are being used for the development of virtual replicas. The method of laser scanning was created by applying and automating the fundamental principles of photogrammetry. The emergence of terrestrial laser scanners has contributed to the popularization of 3D spatial data through many new and promising applications. More and more users by classical geodetic products (plans, maps, sections, etc.) have a need for full 3D data such as photorealistic 3D models and their visualization. Given that no method of data collection is perfect and suitable for all types of building a combination of methods is to arrive as a better solution. In this paper will be shown the difference between the two independent methods of measurement, digital photogrammetry and laser scanning. Also, it will be shown the result of fusion of the above methods for creating virtual replicas or photorealistic 3D models of a Roman ceramic kiln.
