Impact of Forthcoming AIFM Directive on Croatian Alternative Investment Fund Managers

In the April of 2009, the European Commission proposed a new Directive on Alternative Investment Fund Managers. Its primary objective is to achieve a regulatory and supervisory framework for the managers of AIF, as well as to create an European passport for managers of AIF on the EU level. Authors analyzed impact of this Directive on Croatian financial market in both situations: Croatia as a non-EU country, and Croatia as an EU Member State.
