Marginal dye microleakage in class V composite fillings pretreated by different dentin bonding agents
The aim of this study was to evaluate the variation of microleakage of class V composuite restoration pretreated with three different dentin bonding agents. 24 cavities randomly divided into four groups. Cavity wals of group I were cobered by Gluma 2000, of group II by Syntac and of group III by Compoglass adhesive. Group IV served as a control. Marginal micrpoleakage was examened by extension dye penetration undere the light microscope. After partial demineralisation of the samples, composite fillings were extracted from the cavities. The lowest dye penetration was found in cavities covered by Syntac (0.27 mm s.d. 0.18) followed by Complglass (o.77 mm s.d. 0.30). Gluma 2000 showed dye penetration of 0.85 mm s.d. 0.25, and control group shopwed dye penetration of 0.88 mm s.d. 0.38. Only Syntac showed statistical significant dye penetration compared to ather study groups inclouding the control group.
