Sedimentation Model in the Function of Hydrocarbon Yield Increase
Definition of a basin sedimentation model filled with clastic deposits is extremely significant both in the process of discovering traps with hydrocarbons, and in the phase of developing discovered oil and gas fields. While, in the exploration phase, the sedimentation model points to the most promising areas, in the development phase, it contributes to a rational and optimal positioning of the exploitation and injection wells. By doing so, it furtherly contributes not only to considerable economic savings while putting fields on stream, but also to the establishment of an overall production process control. The paper analyzes the distribution of production and injection wells, as well as the produced hydrocarbon volumes, with respect to the Ivanić oil field "gamma"-series sedimentation model. It has been established that, providing that certain technical issues are excluded, productivity is directly associated with the sedimentation model.
