NMR Noise
We report recent insights into the origin and properties of NMR noise, which originates from the tightly coupled system of spins and tuned radio-frequency circuits. Comparing results on different instruments for solids and liquids, with and without cryogenically cooled probes, with largely varying electronic properties [1-3] a more systematic approach to understanding the deviations of observed spin-noise behavior from theoretical predictions is developed.
