Rekonceptualizacija kurikula ranog odgoja i građanske kompetencije djeteta

The paper discusses improvement of the conditions for development of a child’s civil competences in the kindergarten, meaning a number of qualitative changes in its constitution and organization of the educational process. Encouraging development of children's civil competences as well as development of a new culture of learning in the kindergarten can contribute to realization of a humanistic-oriented early education curriculum to which the authors are committed. The paper promotes the idea of training a child for self-evaluation in the own learning process, as assumptions of his or her active co(forming) and co(management) of this process and affirmation of an child’s active role in the curriculum research process. This is considered as an assumption of development of a new concept of institutional childhood and a possible way of reconceptualization of an early education curriculum.
