Strength recovery of self-compacting concrete under variable post –fire curing conditions
The study presented in this paper was carried out in order to investigate the effect of post-fire-curing on the strength recovery of self-compacting fire-damaged concrete. For that purpose, specimens made of five types of self-compacting concrete with different filler materials and polypropylene fibres were exposed to high temperatures of 600 °C. After cooling, the specimens were subjected to post-fire-curing in water and air environment further 14 days. Results of residual compressive strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity indicate that strength recovery depends on conditions and duration of post-fire-curing and the type of used filler material.
