Amperometric Biosensor with Glucose Oxidase Entrapped in Inorganic Hydrogel for Determination of Glucose in Croatian Wines
In this study, an amperometric glucose biosensors with glucose oxidase (GOx) has been used for the determination of glucose in different Croatian wines. GOx was immobilized on the surface of nickel hexacyanoferrate (NiHCF) modified graphite electrode by entrapment into palladium hexacyanoferrate (PdHCF) hydrogel. The advantage is that the polymer network of PdHCF hydrogel is geometrically constrained and hence, rigid, while large water content and macro-porous structure facilitates diffusion of reactive species in and out of the polymer structure. As in our previos work we have noticed that small volume fractions of organic solvents (10 %) enhanced significantly the sensitivity of biosensor, the activity of PdHCF biosensor was also tested in mixed solvents (aqueous buffer with methanol, ethanol, acetone and acetonitrile).
