Using 3D Augmented Reality in Windows Phone 7 Mobile Applications

Together with the development of mobile technology new opportunities that have expanded the functionality of the mobile device were developed. One of the recent technologies is augmented reality which, although very interesting and attractive, yet is not sufficiently applied in mobile applications. Today's technology and progress in the field of augmented reality provide excellent base for creating whole new way of perceiving our surroundings. This paper explains concepts of augmented reality implementation on Windows Phone 7 mobile platform, and is divided into two logical parts. The first part explains the current possibilities of creating mobile augmented reality applications on Windows Phone 7 mobile platform, while the second part presents an example of augmented reality application in the field of marketing on the Windows Phone 7 mobile platform.
