Link Between Agricultural and Textile Sector in Natural Fibres Production in Croatia and Trading Balance in Croatia and Neighbourhood Countries Textile Industry

The aim of this paper is to analyse the input basis of natural fibres production in Croatia. Natural fibres in this paper focus on fibres from plants: flax and hemp, and from animals: silk-worm cocoons for raw silk, and sheep partially as a potential for wool-greasy. Second aim is to analyse the potential link between natural fibres as inputs from agricultural economic sector to textile sector (aggregated) in Croatia. And third aim is to analyse trading balance and export-import prices of Croatian and neighbourhood countries (Hungary, Slovenia and Italy as a members of EU, and Montenegro as EU candidate country and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia as a potential candidates countries) of textile sector. Secondary statistical data, from available official data sources, will be analysed using the time series and trend analysis, as well as comparative analysis.
